Visa Free Travel For The Citizens of Armenia to UAE From 1st February

Unlocking Boundless Horizons

The United Arab Emirates has announced a visa-free travel policy for the citizens of The Republic of Armenia, effective February 1, 2024.

Travellers are advised to have their passports valid for at least six months before arrival. The visa waiver provides versatility, allowing for a maximum stay of 90 days within 180 days, accommodating a range of travel purposes.

As per local media reports, the passport's validity is now determined by the duration stated on both the 2nd (Armenian) and 3rd (English) pages, rendering the note regarding validity in foreign countries (round stamp) on the 4th page no longer applicable or mandatory, effective January 1, 2024.

Reciprocal Travel Arrangement

Steps have been taken to reflect the UAE’s commitment to developing an accessible and open environment for international travellers. Citizens of Armenia can now exit and enter the UAE without the cumbersome responsibility to carry a visa. They can also avoid paying the visa fees, making the travel hassle-free and convenient.

Additionally, the UAE government extended its visa policy to build stronger diplomatic ties and facilitate travel for residents of Uzbekistan and Kosovo. From January 15, 2024, citizens of Uzbekistan holding biometric passports will not be required to have visas to enter UAE.

This agreement exempts the need for an ordinary UAE passport holder to apply for an electronic visa when visiting Uzbekistan, which is mandatory before the deal gets enacted. UAE nationals will now be allowed to enjoy a stay of 30 days per every visit to Uzbekistan.

In recent months, the UAE signed an agreement with Kosovo that eliminates visa requirements for Kosovo's citizens.

Global Mobility Ranking of UAE’s Passport

As of January 24, the UAE passport holds an impressive position on the list of passport indexes, which grants visa-free access to the citizens of UAE to 139 countries worldwide. This means Emirati visa holders must perform a basic application process to get visas from the remaining countries.
